Brand new, never used. Picture is of an identical unit I found on eBay so I didnt have to take picures :). These are really nice units. USA made. Never goes bad unlike other surge protection solutions. These retail for hundreds of dollars. The circuit board inside is extremely high quality. The unit idles at around 8 watts with no load, so it does use a small amount of power. These units are easily converted to work with a standard NEMA 5-15 plug because it is made to operate at 120V @ 60hz just like everything else in the house. Just swap the cord out. A handful of screws allow you to take the cover off. The cord is hooked up via spade terminals and screws and is NOT soldered to the board, so it is very easy to change out. Im not an electrical engineer so viewer discretion is advised. The most difficult part is probably figuring out how to secure the new, much smaller diameter cord so that it cant be pulled on and pull on the connections to the circuit board. Otherwise you could probably have the cord swapped out in less than 5 minutes if you have all your parts and tools ready. You might be able to just tie the cord around itself or something like that to thicken it up right where it exits the unit. Be creative, Im sure you can find a way. I got these for a project and just never got around to it. Please buy them so I no longer have to store them around the house :D.
