This PSU is the best upgrade for your beloved Garrard 301 or 401 you can do.A New condition with an original box and manual. It will work with any Garrard 301 or 401 turntablethe US 120V 60Hz Garrard 301/401 version does sound great with this power supply, but UK 240Volt 50Hz version will sound even better(motor run smoother and quieter) The PSU could be used with any Garrard 301/401 with voltage either120 or 240Vand with the Stepped Pulley 50 or 60 Hz USA special edition. UK producer description: This very versatile unit is a pleasure to use and makes a 301 and 401 reach its potential. The unit allows the user to lower the line input voltage going to the turntable down a level where no vibration can be heard from the motor. Surprisingly the Garrard motors RPM can still be maintained on a lower voltage . Best results are obtained with the Eddy brake magnet out of the way of the disc or even removed as with this PSU its not required anymore as all speed selections and alterations are done by the PSU controls. So by lowering the line voltage right down and making fine adjustments with the HZ control it is possible to tweak the motor to just perfect performance and the net result is consistent speed stability and virtually non existent mechanical noise . You can forgot about any spindle 50 or 60 Hz, PSU can control any Garrard 301/401 50 or 60 Hz made. A smooth consistent sine wave makes the motor run smoother and quieter These units have dual voltage UK and USA 240/110 selection is done with a voltage selection switch. Garrard 301 Turntable Schedule 1 - Fully Working. This has been my personal table for over 10 years. I have loved it but I found something else. I had this with a custom made plinth which I’m selling separately. Sad to see it go! There is a hairline crack in base as shown. I was going to send it out for repair but it just never bothered me. The broadcast radio station that owned it prior drilled a hole for a light as well, as shown. Likely for an on-air indicator. See photos. Thanks for looking! I had it serviced and a few parts replaced 10 years ago, and it has worked great ever since. I never addressed the crack because it hasn't been an issue. Wooden plinth is NOT included.
