Rare pair of 3.1s in very good condition. I rate them 7/10 mostly cause of age. System sounds and looks really good, but its 14 years old. There is only 1 defect. The base of the left speaker has 1 one the threads damaged. Please ask me about this of youre interested. These are not very large speakers, but throw a very large soundstage, and the sound is very accurate, going down deep in the bass. I also have the Reference SA subwoofer amplifier and the original Mapleshade 3 wooden bases with brass footings. These are in a separate auction because eBay shipping rules do not accept 4 boxes. These items are not included in this auction. The price is for the speakers only.Also, a pair of 15 long Kimber 4PR cable, terminated in the speaker side with spades, unterminated in the other side is included in the price. This is a used pair of Anthony Gallo speakers in good condition. These speakers have minor visible wear like smudges and scratches but these do not affect the sound or quality of them. These operate without issues.These come in the original boxes with original foam protection. The only issue is that they are missing the original bottom pads.These were called Elastomer pads.The previous owner that I got these from had damaged one set while moving them around. He then removed the other and I have never had them. For those who are not familiar with the 3.5 system.This was the upgrade over the 3.1 system.The tweeter received redesigns. The Strada drivers in the modules are still the very nice and reliable Strada drivers.The woofer/subwoofer was reworked from apaper driver to an aluminum driver. The 3.1s retailed new for around 3K.These were so upgraded that they retailed for around 6K. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND READ THE REVIEWS.THESE ARE COMPARABLE TO SPEAKERS COSTING WELL OVER 10K. The sound of these are amazing.These work best if used in bi-amp mode. I would recommend using a tube amp on the top drivers.This is because the tweeter is for highs,the Strada driers are actually a full range driver.This results in a very detailed, very smooth sound.The woofer/subwoofer is best supplied with a high current amp.Anthony Gallo company actually made a sub amp that mated to this unit.It was very flexible and had the ability to custom set yourcrossover point and more for the lower end. This listing includes 2 speakers for the price listed. Ive used these as my desktop system while working with an Anthony Gallo sub. They have not been blasted because they are 2 feet from me while sitting. Best sounding speakers Ive auditioned so far. I have $5000 Martin Logan electrostatics that dont compare to the details in these speakers. Truly amazing like the reviewers say. I ended up buying 7 of the Strada 2 for a home theater setup. Since I only needed 5 of them, I put 2 on my desktop. I cant say that they sound better. Just different. I would say, these are more dynamic. I kept them around for a year because I was hoping to use them somewhere else in the house and that never came to fruition so they must go. I have the wall mounts also, if you need those.
