Excellent condition, restored and stunning 1970s legendary, highly collectable cult classic speakers! These Gale GS401 speakers are RARE and finding the chrome and black color scheme in this condition is even more rare. An outstanding speaker with a cult classic following... and for a good reason. These truly change the way you appreciate music. A 9.5 out of 10 condition simply to remark on the slight imperfections on the end caps. The speakers have been professionally restored. All speakers were refoamed with OEM spec foam imported from Europe. All components (speakers, potentiometers and crossovers) have been checked for proper output measurements and cleaned. The end caps have been polished and only minor hairline imperfections remain. The end caps have not been glued on should you desire to remove them and have them professionally polished before displaying. The stands are custom made and purpose built to support these speakers in a complimenting black and chrome aesthetic. They are one piece custom welded 1960s/1970s Knoll Charles Pollock chair bases with a schedule 80 steel upright and a 1/4 support plate for the speaker to rest on. The stands are incredibly solid and dead. The bottom of the stands have been modified to accommodate removable high end spikes and disks which will be included in your purchase. Rare vintage Gale GS401 standing speakers. Crafted from wood, these speakers are a rare and sought after find for audiophiles. Excellent condition and sound for its age. Recently services and calibrated. Minor scuffs and a few small knicks to the wood veneer but in overall beautiful condition. Local pickup in Los Angeles only.
