Furutech Powerflux PS-950 Power Cord Powerflux conductors are 68-strand ? (Alpha) OCC twisted around ?–conductor strands with a special-grade PE insulation or dielectric. (Alpha conductors are fine OCC wire treated with Furutech’s Alpha Cryogenic and Demagnetizing process.) The dielectric is surrounded by an inner sheath of RoHS-compliant PVC incorporating carbon powder that enhances damping, and that in turn is covered by a full ? (Alpha) conductor wire braid shield. Another flexible PVC outer sheath and a Nylon braid jacket finish the job. Length: 1 metre (108 cm tip to tip) Terminated with Furutech FI-1363(R) rhodium plated UK mains and Furutech FI-50 rhodium plated and carbon fibre IEC connectors. The two plugs alone retail for £370. RRP: £1840 (for a 1.8 metre length). Important: this cable was originally 1.8 metres in length but was cut in two by the previous owner to create two shorter lengths. This is the longer half, measuring 108 cm tip to tip. Rest assured the cable shield, as is visible in the photos, is wired correctly. In other words the shield is wired to the earth terminal on the wall plug end only (NOT the IEC plug) - that way any noise the shield picks up drains into the earth and away from your system.
