B&W Bowers & Wilkins FPM4 Speaker (0006955), Black, clean, tested good Clean, single speaker cabinet, tested, sounds good, works fine. Kind of heavy, local pickup ok if youre in or near Milwaukee.

This speaker was from a closed high-end audio retailer that closed a number of years ago and I am just getting around to selling it now. It has gotten some dust on the fabric as seen in the photos. Other than that, I have never used it. I assume it was a demo model from the store. The FPM 4 features two mid-woofers flanking a tweeter in the classic DAppolito arrangement. All are two way speakers with vented enclosures. So far, everything sounds fairly normal. However, these are not just another wall mounted speaker, these are B&Ws. The port features B&Ws flowport technology, basically gold ball like dimples on a flared port which reduces turbulence. This has the effect of increasing port efficiency while reducing any port noise. The mid-woofers are made out of Kevlar. Those familiar with the B&W line will recognize this as a B&W signature feature which provides for a stiff, yet low mass cone. Lastly, the tweeter is tube loaded, a design which has trickled its way down from B&Ws famed Nautilus line. This design feature reduces back pressure and distortion, allowing the tweeter to play much cleaner.
