Description: The compact Chorus 705 speaker system is ideal for desktop placement in small rooms (approx. 15 m2). Dynamic, lively and dense bass, enhanced by clear sound of medium and high frequencies, will allow this model to become part of an impressive system with a subwoofer. Chorus 705 is a compact 2-way shelf speaker with a 5 woofer/midrange speaker. The best option when it is impossible to place full-size speakers, as well as when you want to use traditional (i.e. non-specialized) speakers in the rear channels of multi-channel systems. From the upper to the lower edge of the available frequency range, the sound is characterized by good uniformity, high speed qualities, and a clear, collected presentation. The woofer/midrange speaker is equipped with a diffuser obtained by Polyglass technology, which has a long-standing impeccable reputation. The phase inverter design with a port on the front panel provided a significant increase in the depth of the bass without compromising the high-speed qualities. Fixed on a massive aluminum bar, the TNV high-frequency speaker with an aluminum-magnesium concave dome on a Poron suspension combines the well-recognizable Focal sound signature of openness, detail and an extended upward frequency range with improved softness, without sharp features in character. This is a younger Focal series, but like many top-class speakers, for the best high-speed qualities, the HF speaker deliberately does not use a cooling ferromagnetic liquid, while maintaining a large supply of supplied power. The design of the speaker series was developed together with the famous Parisian design studio Pineau & Le Porcher and is in full accordance with the refined sound. The case with non-parallel internal walls is made of MDF boards with a thickness of 20 to 25 mm and has the necessary rigidity to reduce vibrations and resonances that are harmful to the sound. This capable woofer was crafted from a powdered glass-coated paper cone suspended in a rugged injection-molded frame.So, please see my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this superb mid/bass woofer is correct for your needs.*Although the listing is written in singular to avoid any confusion, two (2) identical Focal-JMlab woofers are available at time of this writing. This Focal-JMlab woofer is in clean, basically pristine condition. It has a cosmetically and structurally perfect cone with flawless voice coil center cap and permanent rubber surround. Plus, the black injection-molded polymer basket is also in perfect shape. And, the +/- input terminals are marked for polarity on the basket and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, this Focal mid/woofer looks practically new! Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds terrific—very detailed with clear, fast mid frequency coverage, and good low-end for the platform size.
