JBL L300 Summit. These sound great. Cabinets have some scuffs and scratches. I have not oiled these in years and oiling would likely soften outer cabinet blemishes. Backs of cabinets have a previous owners ID numbers etched in. One of the cabinets is missing one of its grill pegs and on that same cabinet one of the pegs is busted off with half still inside. Grill on that cabinet still holds well. One of the grill emblems has broken off [photo 14]. One of the cabinets had some damage and was glued back in place [photo 15]. Phonograph and horn are both ca. 1910, and both are in exceptionally nice original condition.The V was Victor’s top-of-the-line oak phonograph and its largest oak phonograph. It was also the ultimate workhorse, with a massive 3-spring motor capable of playing multiple sides with a single winding. Hawthorne & Shebles Artistic horns featured polished metal surfaces with decorative floral interiors. Condition of this Victor V is excellent, and its completely original. No replica parts, no repairs, no refinishing, no glamming up for the camera. The back-bracket enamel is original, with no flaking, and the decorations are crisp.Original crank, original brake, original horn elbow, original turntable felt, etc. Theres a tight hairline in the grain on the crank side of the cabinet which likely resulted as the cabinets panels aged and cured. Beautiful original enamel on the metal case, prominent original gold decorations, too. Cabinet is clean, and the cabinet decal is crisp and complete, with minimal wear.
