Here is an amazing and beautiful Vintage 1961 The Fisher 400CX 400-CX-2 Tube Stereo Preamplifier in wood case with all of the original paperwork. Serial # 20059 A. Comes loaded with all vintage (most original) tubes (3- Fisher Mullard & 1 GE 7247s, 3- Amperex Globe, 1 GE 12AX7, 1- Fisher Telefunken 12AT7, Fisher Mullard EZ80). Nice overall condition with some typical wear spots on gold face. Stored for decades, I brought it up slowly with my variac and it sounds amazing. Hi Everyone! Up for auction is a vintage The Fisher tube stereo preamplifier model 400-CX-2 in good original shape. There is no cabinet included and the far right two knobs are missing the gold end caps, otherwise it has all its original Telefunken/Fisher tubes and all the colored lenses on the front are there and knobs are original. No damage to the unit however the center bottom of the faceplate has a very small ding and there is a nick on the far right upper face (see photos 4-5). Fairly clean chassis and it could use more detailed cleaning. I powered the unit for a few moments and the tubes lit up along with the colored lenses (see last photo) but that is all the testing done recently, I have not used this preamplifier since 2002 and it did work back at that time however it will be sold as-is since it may need by now capacitors and deoxit on the controls and the switches so bid accordingly. Look at the photos carefully and contact me with your questions. Well packed up the package weighs 20.8 lbs so U.S. shipping will be either USPS ground advantage or Fedex ground.
