Any item that is made before the 1980s requires special care. You must have basic knowledge about the use and servicing of the equipment. Spulengröße bis 26,5 cm Durchmesser. Die Ferrograph Logic 7 Bandmaschinen mit 9.5, 19 und 38 cm/s Bandgeschwindigkeiten wurden ab 1974 hergestellt und sind längst nicht so verbreitet wie die Revox-Maschinen. Sie wurden allerdings bei der BBC auch neben Studer und Otari eingesetzt. Die Logic 7 hat die professionelle Spurbreite von 2,3 mm und arbeitet mit Magnetisierung von 320 nWb/m. In perfektem Zustand spielt sie auf gleichem Niveau wie eine PR99, hat dieser aber die kleine Bandgeschwindigkeit voraus, die manche Tonbandler für die Aufnahme von Hörspielen schätzen, hat darüber hinaus sehr gute Köpfe und verträgt hohe Pegel, bevor sie in die Sättigung geht. Durch Ihren kunststofffreien mechanischen und diskreten elektrischen Aufbau gilt sie als außerordentlich zuverlässig. Sie ist allerdings als Dreimotorenmaschine mit massivem Stahlblechchassis und Stufenrad-Mechanik kein Leichtgewicht.
