HERE WE HAVE: A vintage Fairchild SM2 cartridge + needle! Seems like this is in its original box. *7/10/24* CONDITION: Open box, being sold as is, untested. One of the screws is missing. The box it has been stored in was not sealed, there is some dirt/dust build up on the inside and especially around the needle area. Needle may need replaced as it looks like there is some slight corrosion to the metal. The bag of hardware may not be complete. Seems that it is new / unused but dirty from sitting around for so long. Will come as shown, so please see photos! SHIPPING: Calculated. Up for sale here is a vintage / used Fairchild SM2 stereo phono cartridge. I hooked this up to an old radio with a phono input,using clip leads.I did get sound on both left and right outputs when I touched the needle/stylus. I measured the resistance from ground to left,and ground to right,both read roughly 1,935 ohms.The stylus feels like it still has a point on it.That is the only testing I can do. Fairchild SM1 Vintage Stereo Phono Cartridge Stylus In Carrard Swindon Unit. I dont know anything about styluss or cartridges but I can tell that this one is missing its needle and will need to be refurbished fixed repaired or whatever the term is called. Selling this for parts as is with no returns because I have no way of testing it and again like I said I know nothing about these.

Rare vintage Fairchild SM1 stereo phono cartridge. Tested on a Garrard record player and it sounds great! Includes needle that is used but appears to be in good working order. Good cosmetic condition other than some black spots on top. See my other auction listings for more vintage carts.
