Vintage 1958 Fairchild 412-1A Transcription Turntable that runs strong but is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair due to age as it is 66 years old. On/Off switch is working. Please see all pictures as that is main part of description. As you see in pictures this turntable needs lots of cleanup for you see the light corrosion on platter and light rust on turntable. Fairchild 412-1AA Turntable acquired from the family of an audiophile. This unit does not have a tone arm. I gave it a quick test and the motor spins along with the pulley. A large bearing was in the box with this turntable, it will be included. The belt from the motor to the pulley is stretched out but still grips slightly. Motor feels strong, there is No on/off switch. The large belt which attaches the platter to the pulley is missing. Please view auction photos for cosmetic condition. Wood base looks good, plinth has holes drilled where there was once a tone arm, etc. Due to age, a long period of non-use, and the inability to fully test since there is no tone arm, this turn table is offered for restoration/parts/etc. Please view the auction photos. FAIRCHILD 412. classic American Broadcast Turntable. Restored bearing with new ball and new belts. This is a 110V and 60Hz machine but a new 50Hz pulley has been fitted already. Overall good condition, just some scratches on the platter. Good, soft rubber mat. Needs a nice plinth and a decent arm. i just don’t have the time anymore for all the different projects and have to let a few things. Comes with the original pulley included off course.

FAIRCHILD 412 TURNTABLE, 1950s? No arm or other components. This was purchased at an estate. I do not know how this works (if it needs more components). The turntable does not turn when power is on but spins smoothly when turned by hand. I am listing ASIS just incase. I would guess that someone who knows these knows if it should turn or not. The motor humms when this is turned on but I cant tell if it is running or frozen up, so once again, this is being sold ASIS. There is masking tape residue from old tape, I am sure it will clean. You only get what is shown in the pictures. This will ship FedEx and require a signature. Of course this is returnable but buyer must pay return shipping. Please feel free to ask questions. I have sold this TWICE before but both buyers did not want signature required on the shipping.....FedEX requires it so if you cannot sign for it please do not bid.
