This is a tested, working, and great sounding integrated amp. This was manufactured in the same factory as the legendary Marantz PM series amps. At the time, Marantz was a subsidiary of Philips,.. and they shared the same designs and manufacturing plants. This particular unit is basically a beefed up, more powerful Marantz PM50, with 100 watts per channel. It is also similar to the Marantz PM80. It has some great features including CD Direct which over rides the tone circuitry for more direct , uncolored sound. This was quality built in Japan in the late 80s. All buttons , dials, and lights work perfectly. This unit has been sprayed out and it has no issues. Philips FA960 Amplifier for sale, it is working fine apart from the balance Control, this has been bypassed as was faulty when I got it, I could not source a spare part as the amp is so old now!! and quite rare. So basically works fine but the balance cannot be changed and it always centered so thats why im listing it as spares/not working. All capacitors have been replaced for new, new bulbs, new relays and all controls have been cleaned(see pics). It sounds beutiful and has a good amount of power.
