In dem nur 22 cm breiten, aber mit dieser Gerätetiefe einer klassischen Hifi-Komponente entsprechendem Gehäuse, konnte Exposure alle wichtigen Zutaten für eine erstklassige Phonovorstufe verbauen. Die XM3 zieht ihren Strom aus einem beachtlichen Netzteil, welches ein anerkannter Zulieferer speziell für Exposure baut. An der Rückseite finden sich zwei gesonderte Eingänge, die jeweils einen MM- und MC-Tonabnehmer aufnehmen können. Über einen daneben platzierten Schalter wählt man schließlich die Funktion für MM oder MC. Schon an dieser physischen Trennung ist der hohe Anspruch der XM3 zu erkennen. Denn durch diesen stringend getrennten Aufbau übernehmen jeweils auf MM und MC spezialisierte Verstärkerzüge die Verarbeitung des Signals.Trotz dieses technischen Aufwands zeigt sich die XM3 Phonostage äußerst komfortabel. Der ohmische Abschluss und verschiedene Verstärkungsfaktoren lassen sich auf der Rückseite für jeden Kanal getrennt feinfühlig einstellen. Exposure XM3 Phonostage black boxed. Excellent MM/MC Phonostage.Excellent reviews and currently retails for £900. Complete with box and manual. Grab a bargain! There is a small scratch to the top left of the facia as pictured but isnt particularly large or really visible once in a rack. I could have touched it up but a) I didnt really notice it once racked and b) prefer to leave things as they are. This is a highly flexible phonostage which is why I bought it. I had a selection of turntables/cartridges and found most other phono stages a bit of a pain switching between the two. This has separate inputs for MM/MC and has a selection switch on the rear. It is very heavy due to the quality of the transformer and seemingly built like a tank.
