Excel ES-70S Cartridge ST-25D Unused Stylus with Shell Description Excel ES-70S cartridge ST-25D unused stylus with head shell Set of Excel Sound record player cartridge ES-70S and unused Sanyo stylus ST-25D, with pre-wired head shell. Excel was a specialized cartridge manufacturer and supplied many cartridges to record player manufacturers on an OEM basis. ES-70S is one such cartridge, and its model name when it was sold under its own brand was Excel ES-70S. The model name of the same provided by Sanyo (the audio product brand name is OTTO) is MG-25L and the Sanyo stylus name used is ST-25D. The cartridges provided by each company were sometimes differentiated by changing the shape of the plastic base or the shape of the knob, but the Excel and Sanyo styluses have exactly the same shape, and both cartridges are also completely identical styluses that are compatible with each other. The color of the knob is also blue. I have confirmed that the cartridge produces sound correctly from both channels using other styluses I have. The stylus is made by Daitokyo Jewelry and has been stored for a long time and has not been used, with the seal still attached. When visually inspected from outside the package, there is no disturbance to the cantilever or needle tip. I have posted a close-up photo, so please check the image to see the condition of the needle tip. Comes with head shell and ready for use.
