Description
I believe theyre from the 1970s. They have recently come out of long-term Storagewhere they have rested since 1986. Rubber Seals within Horn Throat are still Perfect. Mid-Range Horns Used in many EV and Klipsch speakers, Cornwall, Cornerhorn Designed Cabinets. Big, rich full sound. Also, great compression driver for use in talk boxes, same driver used in the Electro Harmonix golden throat talk box / drop in replacement. Great Harmonica / Harp Reproduction, Vocals,Strings. All Mid-Range areas in 3+ Way Systems. Recent recommissioning at a cost of £90.As the pics show, a genuine Electro-Voice FactoryDiaphragm was fitted, the old faulty one & boxwith Part No. will be included. The Sound Tech said a Crown Amp & Signal Generatorwas used to Test the Horns&Drivers sweeping from400Hz to 6000Hz. I decided not to get them re-sprayed, which they need,so thats up to the new owner. For HiFi home use I personally wouldnt have them black. Certainly Id have them stripped of paint first & see what one would like with the its Rigid Die-casting polished shiny. The Original Rubber Seals around the 1 3/8inch x 18threaded mount are still perfect.They dont really need a box, nor even a Baffle,they look nice Free Standing as per their Tech Details state. For Long Throw applications with maximum Horizontal Dispersion it is recommended theyre actually mounted with their Long Axis Vertically, so for a small room or Near Field listening then Horizontally Mounted. Areas of Experimentation. Each is approx 4.5 Kilos, with suitable secure Packingwell be over 10 kilos. The Shipping Charge is per Royal Mails Tracked 24 or 48 cost of between 10 & 20 ks.
