Die Lautsprecher befinden sich in einem technisch sehr guten Zustand und sind voll funktionsfähig.Betrieben wurden sie in einem 7.1-Heimkino-Setup an einem YAMAHA-Verstärker bei normaler Lautstärke,also keine Lautstärke-Spitzen oder ähnliches. Der optische Zustand ist in Ordnung, lediglich die Stoff-Fronten (waren zum Schutz immer montiert) haben einpaar Gebrauchsspuren - bitte die Bilder beachten. Für den Standlautsprecher ES 80 wurden Technologien aus dem JBL Profi-Bereich verwendet und mit neuen Entwicklungen kombiniert. Ein Ultrahochfrequenz- und ein Titanlaminat-Hochtöner kommen für den Hochtonbereich zum Einsatz. Dabei vergrößert der Ultrahochfrequenz-Hochtöner den Übertragungsbereich auf 40kHz und sorgt für eine vortreffliche Wiedergabe dieses Frequenzbereichs. Für eine verzerrungsarme, impulsreiche Wiedergabe sorgt zudem noch der Titanlaminat-Hochtöner. Der 170mm Tieftöner wurde mit einer Membran bestückt, welche eine Kombination aus Papier und einer speziellen Polymerbeschichtung ist, welche auch bei hohen Lautstärken nicht von einer sauberen Wiedergabe abweicht. Ein 100mm Poly-Plas-Membran Chassis wurde für den Mitteltonbereich eingesetzt. Die Lautsprecherbox ES80 ist komplett magnetisch abgeschirmt. Um stehende Wellen im inneren des Gehäuses zu verhindern, wurde das Gehäuse so konstruiert, dass dieses sich nach hinten verjüngt, was gerade auch optisch der Lautsprecherbox eine zusätzliche Eleganz verleiht.
