This Soundcraftsmen RP2215-R equalizer is cosmetically in very good shape, with no rack rash on the bolt holes or scratches on the faceplate. It is, however, missing one of the caps for the sliders. I have plugged it in and music passes through, but I cannot verify that all of the individual sliders are doing what they are supposed to do. I acquired this through the winning bid of a local auction as part of a pile of audio items and have no need for this particular piece. Im selling it as-is/for-parts just because I cant guarantee everything is working as it should. Enjoy it, part it out, sell it to your neighbor, or repurpose it as a mailbox.... Lets just keep these cool old pieces out of the local dump. Ive been selling on ebay for 17+ years and have a great reputation. This unit is great because the phono stage has variable loading and capacitance to really match your cartridge to the preamp! Made in USA! Cosmetically, it shows some wear consistent with its age (small paint chips etc.) I cleaned it, but it could benefit from a deeper cosmetic detailing if youre picky. It has precision wound inductive coils, instead of ICs that mimic the real thing. With this it gives you 15dB boost/cut, where most EQs offer 10 to 12dB. Distortion is rated at less than 0.01% THD and IMD. A Sound/Noise ratio of 114dB @10V. The comparator system is accurate to 0.1dB and allows you to keep the output level the same as the input, so to not clip signals or add unneeded noise depending on whether an EQ curve increased or decreased a musical signal.
