Soundcraftsmen AE2420-R, in good working order. Faders have no static and are smooth. I did change the fader knobs to make it easier to adjust and I think they look cooler, BUT I saved the white ones if you want to use instead, (see Pics). Also including Test Record and Electret Mic if you want to give analyzing room a shot. Didnt have much luck with it myself, but your mileage may vary. Until recently, was using it in my system. It is very well respected Equalizer. Everything works to the best of my knowledge. I use it. Cosmetically, front panels are very good. Considering age/use, side surfaces (might) have imperfections. After buying, you will have opportunity to have video call, and see/listen every thing you’d want to verify (and could refuse to buy at that time). Everything will be very safely packed and shipped. This graphic equalizer is in good condition, and includes all original paperwork. The equalizer itself has two slide pads that do not match the others, but they are very close. The cabinet will need some refinishing, but it is very solid. This item was powered up and had not been tested for sound. The slide controls will need some cleaning. Sold as is as pictured. Soundcraftsmen AE2000 Equalizer/DifferentialComparator with Operating Manual/Other original paperwork (COSMETIC GRADE: Grade A- no dents, scratches or scuffs) Was bought brand new never used out of box in 2005 so it hasn’t been used for all the years prior since it was made. Used lightly from 2005-2018, then was stored for about 5 years in closed cabinet because I used my SC Pro EQ-44 I had instead. There was never an issue with drop-outs or scratchy sliders at any time when in use. All switches and knobs are fine, all lights are fully functional. After being in storage, the sliders are jerky/sticky from sitting, no doubt, but are functional. From the photos you can clearly see the sliders are not full of dust, cat hair and other grime like smoke. I can tell you that with the limited use it had, they shouldn’t in any way be actually worn out. I suggest the sliders be lubed/greased on the underside and probably the pots as well. I figured anyone buying this VERY RARE GEM might know better what they are doing or knows someone (an audio tech who services older units). Depending on your level of electronics expertise, you might tackle it yourself, have it fully serviced by an audio tech, or just use it “AS IS”. Restoring it to like new technically to match the cosmetics makes the most sense. Like any vintage audio piece, service is usually just part of keeping things functional and getting things up to speed if used or if they have been sitting. I’ve been lucky with most of my stuff that is in use that nothing has ever been serviced or indicated it needed service (other than time) and I have quite a few older components. Serious bidders only please. I took a few more photos as I tested it with an amp prior to listing and I have the pictures with the analyzer lights working and 2 short 8-10 second videos with music playing I can send by e-mail if you wish.
