Up for sale is a pair (TWO only) of VERY RARE EPI M602 Speaker Woofer Drivers. This sale is for a pair, two, of the unique 8 4ohm drivers removed from my M602 speakers. If you need a spare M602 driver, these are for you. I have NEVER seen these come up on Ebay before. And, no doubt less knowledgeable individuals may have put the higher impedance drivers in their M602 speakers, which will not sound right, as they are not in synch with the crossover network that Winslow Burhoe originally designed. Im selling because I purchased NEW proper impedance drivers from Human Speakers instead of fixing these. DO NOT MISTAKE THESE FOR THE COMMON 8 8ohm DRIVERS PARTED OUT OF ALL OTHER EPI MODELS. The M602 model is unique among all of EPIs original line of speakers. Read about the unique impedance of the M602 on Human Speakers website, here: https://www.humanspeakers.com/e/epi602.htm. Instead of the common 8 8ohm drivers, this model had a pair of 8 4ohm drivers specially wound voice coil resistance for its rear-facing drivers. In other words, the resistance in ohms across a speaker-driver terminals does NOT match the rated impedance in ohms. These EPI 4ohm woofers measure correctly at just over 2ohms. Up for sale is an excellent pair of EPI 100V 8 woofers. Woofers are in excellent condition and have been professionally refoamed. They check out good on the multi meter. Pair of EPI Time Energy T/E 100 Plus speakers. Re-foamed original woofers. Everything works and sounds great! The cabinets are in fantastic shape for their age. EPI M100 8 2-Way Speaker Pair - Made in USA Very nice pair of 1970s EPI speakers by Epicure xxx, Mass . These are the M100 8 2-way model in simulated walnut cabnets. All original drivers - 8 woofers with intact, original rubber surrounds and tweeters with concave paper domes - EPI s first take on the classic mid-sized 8 2-way design. Tweeter controls operate as expected. Cabinets measure 21 x 11 x 9 and weigh in at 24lbs. All drivers tested individually for proper output and the speakers sound great. The woofers have original rubber surrounds which Ive inspected, rubber is aged but still alive and functioning as expected. A few areas have grain lines beginning to show consistent with age. Overall condition good with cosmetic faults limited to light scuffs, small scratches and the inevitable light corner and edge dings. Both speakers have a faint glass ring on top. Grilles are in very good condition with no rips or snags - no badges. Corner velcroes are intact. Please see all pictures for full condition details.
