This well regarded vintage player is capable of 20 bits and uses the famous Stable Platter inverted disc laser drive, the CDs are loaded upside down, and the laser is loaded facing down. On request I can upgrade by replacing the PCM63P-K with the PCM63P-Y (which I sell on Ebay), used only on professional and little-known equipment, with these the sound stage increases in depth and width with a more relaxed sound due to less distortion”.
