Electrocompaniet ECP-1 MM/MC Phono Preamplifier. RCA (unbalanced) inputs & outputs. I am the second owner. Classy, beautiful phono preamplifier. The ELECTROCOMPANIET trademark acrylic faceplate makes the ECP-1 stand out in the crowd of the competition. This ECP-1 is not functional. I sell it for service or spare parts. The problem is that the MM/MC selector switch does not work and needs replacement. Otherwise the unit should function perfectly, as it did for many years before the MM/MC selector switch problem appears. I have been using it many years with MM cartridges. The sound is simply amazing. I am sure you can find many excellent reviews in the internet. They all agree that this is one of the best phono sections money can buy. However, this problem with the MM/MC selector switch appeared about a year ago, and I am not in a position to fix it. The cosmetic condition is very good, considering its age. There is a dent in the lower right corner of the acrylic faceplate, visible in the photos. This dent does not affect the ECP-1’s performance at all. Please look at the actual photos accompanying this auction, as they present the actual cosmetic state of the amplifier better than words. Please note that a new replacement ECP-2 MkII costs about 2500 EUROs in Greece. Item location is KARDITSA 43131, GREECE. I will ship only in EU. Collection is welcome.
