ELAC Uni-Fi 2.0 UB52 Bookshelf - Excellent Condition Heres the backstory on these speakers. In the fall 2021, I moved into a new condo and decided to give these a try, and for the money theyre very good. Theyre a 3-way design, with the top driver being coaxial (dome tweeter and midrange in one basket). This is a point source design where the critical high/midrange sounds emanate from one point. The woofer is a separate 5.25 aluminum driver designed to handle just the lows. These are front ported, which means theyre better for smaller rooms and can be place closer to a wall. There is a ton of reviews on the web for these. Andrew Jones from Elac designed these to go after higher end designs like the KER R3. This makes sense, because earlier in his career Andrew worked for KEF. After about a year, I decided that I was going to stay in the new condo, so I upgraded my entire system and packed these away in the closet thinking I would use them again in the coming months. I never did and keep moving them from one side of the closet to the other. Im in a smoke-free environment, with no kids, cats, or dogs. These just sat on the stands until I repacked them. Since everything I buy is subject to being sold when I upgrade, I always retain the original boxes and packing materials. As part of the sale, Im including a set of Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) speaker cables, with high-quality banana plugs. Each cable is 6 in length. If your amp doesnt support banana plugs you can unscrew the bananas and use bare wire. As for delivery/shipping. Im located in Asheville NC; we could meet at the local mall if someone wanted to pick them up.
