I am the original owner of this Dynavector DV XX2MKII MC Cartridge. It has been used exclusively with a VPI Aries 3 Turntable and the JMW 10.5i tonearm. The XX2MKII has been one of the most musical cartridges I have had in my system to date. At the original retail cost of $2,100 its performance is well above this price point. A sweet spot in the Dynavector line. Cartridge is in excellent condition and has been used with extreme care in a no children, no pet, no smoking environment. Selling as I have upgraded my system. A late Friend of mine bought this Dynavector XX2 mk2 cartridge soon before he had a fall that broke an ankle, and, then he stopped using his turntable. I’d be surprised if there is more than 100 hours on this cartridge. He left it to me, and as much as I’d like to use it, I need to pay bills. It will come with the paper work, and screw’s, stylus brush and the shabby box I used tape on to keep it closed. It will be packed with care and here’s an opportunity to get a great cartridge that sells for 2150.00 for much less. Item has a few very minor scratches which can be seen in the many photos supplied. I had a tough time trying to get a good shot of the stylus tip, so there are many attempts at that here. The cantilever is straight, and, the tip is intact as it should be. It has been retipped by VAS and only has ~38 hours of use according to my stylus timer. The only reason I am selling is because I moved up to the Te Kaitora and I have a collection of carts that I need to slim down. I ran this cartridge on my Linn LP12 turntable into a Dynavector P75 phono preamp (100 Ohms fixed loading, or Dr T mode, both sound great). AMAZING sound with a mix of top and bottom end control, big musical energy/PRaT, and remarkable ability to minimize surface noises. All in all, a really wonderful cart. Includes all the documentation as well as head shell screws and stylus cover.
