Dynavector XX-2 MK.II Phono Cartridge in Box - Excellent Condition Selling my Dynavector XX-2 MK II cartridge in original box and packaging. It has been retipped by VAS and only has ~38 hours of use according to my stylus timer. The only reason I am selling is because I moved up to the Te Kaitora and I have a collection of carts that I need to slim down. I ran this cartridge on my Linn LP12 turntable into a Dynavector P75 phono preamp (100 Ohms fixed loading, or Dr T mode, both sound great). AMAZING sound with a mix of top and bottom end control, big musical energy/PRaT, and remarkable ability to minimize surface noises. All in all, a really wonderful cart. Includes all the documentation as well as head shell screws and stylus cover. As you can see from the pics, serial number on the box matches the serial number on the graph which matches the serial number on the cart itself. Hello, this fine cartridge was re-tipped by Soundsmith in 2021 and used for about 6 months. Its been sitting in a drawer since then. I like to try a different cartridge every year. Soundsmith replaced the aluminum cantilever with a boron version as used in Dynavectors more expensive models.This is the High Output model, usable with a standard MM preamp. Bidding starts at $450. Dynavector P75 MKII moving coil phono stage. Fully working with its original box. Excellent condition with no marks or damage. An AC / DC converter is included. I purchased this phono stage around 2005 from Phonography that used to have a showroom in Ringwood, Hamphire. I ran it with a Linn Sondek LP12 turntable and a Densen Beat B200 pre-amplifier and a B310 power amplifier. It performed flawlessy throughout and cost 450 at the time.
