Sold for parts not working.

Just taken on trade from a great client who upgraded. This DV-20 x was on a VPI scout. He keeps good records of usage and estimates the time on the stylus to be about 250 hours so plenty of life in the cart. I cleaned the stylus and looked under my scope and stylus looks 100%. This is the 2.8mV version. DV 20X has a solid aluminum alloy body and a rigid magnet construction similar to XX-2 MkII. The cantilever is a 6mm length of hard aluminum pipe with a Micro-Ridge stylus. The magnetic flux damping and softened magnetism along with powerful neodymium magnets gives the 20X2-H a healthy 2.8 mV output - suitable for most MM inputs. The 20X2-L has an output of 0.3 mV ideal for most MC phono stages. Both high and low versions of their 20X2 are available ensure for the optimum end result. The high output model is well suited to valve preamplifiers or electronics that only offer MM inputs whilst the low output version offers superb performance when combined with dedicated moving coil inputs.

Hello, this fine cartridge was re-tipped by Soundsmith in 2021 and used for about 6 months. Its been sitting in a drawer since then. I like to try a different cartridge every year. Soundsmith replaced the aluminum cantilever with a boron version as used in Dynavectors more expensive models.This is the High Output model, usable with a standard MM preamp. Bidding starts at $450. Dynavector DV-20X low output moving coil cartridge in used but excellent condition. Expertly removed from my Linn LP12 by one of the UKs leading Linn dealers as part of an upgrade. The cartridge has had a lot of use (approx. 1,000 hours) but still sounds great. The DV-20XL has a trade in value against new Dynavector cartridges.
