Ive owned this unit for the last couple years to watch LaserDiscs on modern TVs that only have HDMI inputs. The only reason Im partying with it is because Ive upgraded to a different upscaler. This unit can do 1080p 60Hz and is also decent with retro game consoles. Im no expert when it comes to this type of equipment but here is a demo. I bought this brand new (sealed) and used it for over a year. Finally, for some reason, the HDMI output died. I tried factory-resetting, hard resetting, reinstalling the latest firmware, using a different cable, nothing. I also tried leaving it unplugged for a day, but nothing. What’s weird is that my monitor still detects a signal, but then it goes to sleep. Also, when I would hard reset it a couple times, a signal came through, temporarily. However, it was very unstable. Fortunately, it has another output option, 5 BNC (RGBHV). I tested it with my 5 BNC to VGA cable, and it works. Everything else seems to be working just fine with it. It has the latest firmware, as well.

This is a used DVDO iscan VP50 pro video upscaler device that is in great USED condition. THIS DOES NOT COME WITH A POWER SUPPLY Sadly the original PSU unit stopped functioning sometime ago and I stored this VP50 pro away with the intention to eventually find a replacement. I no longer feel I need this upscaler though and the missing power supply is the primary reason I am listing it for the price I am. Youll have to obtain a replacement on your own. The original model was a Sinpro SPU45E-103 switching power supply, however there are other power supplies you can search for. It needs a 6V and 7A switching unit as shown in the manual from one of the pictures I provided. I encourage you to look carefully on your own or reach out to someone who might be a tech expert for help deciding on a power supply to buy as some out there are pretty cheaply manufactured. This DVDO was working perfectly for the time that I had it so I guarantee it is still functional. The manual that was given to me was not a VP50 pro manual, but a VP50 one for some reason. However there arent any major differences between the two, but I provided a print out of the VP50 pro specifications just in case. Also comes with a fresh new pair of batteries for the remote! If youre looking to upscale some retro video games, its a very fast upscaler, as long as you turn off cadence detection, the input delay will be very minimal.
