Description
Selling my top of the line 1989 NEC Renaissance Series CD-730 CD player. This has it all- everything you’d need to get the most ‘musical’ sound from your CD’s. First and foremost it has two dual TDA1541-A DACs (look it up if you don’t know). These are legendary and known to make digital CD’s sound a little less bright and more analog. It also has a Sony KSS-150A CD mechanism, easy to repair/replace if needed. Between that and the Phillips DACs - it doesn’t get any better. Just as impressive, the 730 also has Signetics 5532 opamps, contributing to the sweet musical sound. Oh, and did I mention it comes with the original working REMOTE?! Some other noteworthy features: - both fixed and variable outs - digital outs (optical and coax) - copper lined outputs - polarity invert - track programming - 3.5mm headphone jack with volume control - display dimmer - intro play (plays first ten seconds of a song before automatically moving to the next) - metal case with machined aluminum faceplate It plays FLAWLESSLY, including any CD-R I can throw at it. But there are some minor imperfections. The #1 button in the direct select row is depressed (see photo). However it is still fully functional (although I’ve never used the numbers on this row). There are some minor scratches on top of the faceplate and part of the case is slightly depressed. See pictures- very minor stuff. This is a fairly rare and incredible sounding (and built) CD player. Happy bidding!
