Dimensions: 14W x 5-1/4H x 10-5/8D Features 32-Character Display: The Cambridge SoundWorks Radio CD 745I has a 3-7/8 x 7/8, 32-character (two lines of 16-characters each), light-blue LED display. The display's built-in light sensor detects the amount of ambient light in the room and automatically dims or brightens the display. In addition to normal time, alarm, and CD and radio display information, the radio can decode and display Radio Data Service data (typically program or music titles) transmitted by some FM stations as well as CD-text and ID3 text stored on most MP3 and WMA files. CD/MP3/WMA Player: The Radio CD can play audio 12cm CDs, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3/WMA files recorded on a 12cm CD-ROM disc. The unit will decode and display CD text and MP3 ID3 tags that may be included on the discs. The CD Info button lets you cycle through disc playing time readouts (CD track/disc time elapsed, CD track/disc time remaining, MP3 file time elapsed). During MP3 play, the unit supports 30-300kbps and variable data rates, and will play up to a total of 295 files, 29 folders, and 99 files per folder. The unit features the following play modes: Audio CD: Play one track, Random play MP3 Disc: Play 1 file, Play folder, Random play all, Random play folder Note: The unit can repeat any of the above play modes until the disc is ejected or power is shut off. Resume Play: During audio CD and MP3/WMA playback, when the Stop button is pressed once, the unit can resume play from the same location. During MP3/WMA play only, the unit can resume play from the beginning of the current folder when the stop button is pressed twice. The unit will resume play from the beginning of the disc if stop is pressed twice for CD and three times for MP3. Tuning Options: The SoundWorks Radio CD 745i features two Autotune methods, one Manual tune method, 16 FM presets and 8 AM presets. Autotune Method 1 is a seek tuning method, activated by pressing the Seek button on the radio or remote. The radio automatically searches for the next listenable station of higher frequency. Autotune Method 2, another seek tuning method, lets you automatically search the AM or FM band in either direction. You can manually search either band for a particular frequency, or select one of 8 presets in FM1, FM2 or AM bands. Note: When storing a station in a preset, you can also store an FM mode setting (stereo, wide, or mono) for best sound quality. Internal/External FM Antenna: The Radio CD has an FM antenna built into the AC power cord. You can also connect an external FM antenna to the threaded female F-type coax jack, if desired. A switch on the back panel allows you to choose the internal or external antenna. An external wired FM antenna is supplied. Jog Button: The Radio CD has a Jog button on the front panel which activates the unit's setup menu. When the Jog button is pressed, you can make the following adjustments: Bass: -4 to +4 Treble: -4 to +4 FM Mode: Stereo, Wide, or Monaural Loudness: On (the unit will boost bass output at low volume levels) or Off Snooze: 5-22min Clock Mode: 12 hour + AM/PM, 24 hour Display Language: English, Spanish, French, Italian, or German Disc Text Mode: Scrolling, Static or No Text RDS Text Mode: Scrolling, Static or No Text Dual Alarms: The SoundWorks Radio CD 745i features two independent alarms. You can choose to wake to a Tone Alarm or Music Alarm, and select the alarm volume. When a Music Alarm is chosen, you can select an AM or FM preset or a specific CD/MP3/WMA track. Snooze Function: The alarms have a snooze function which can silence the alarm for a pre-determined amount of time. The snooze delay period can be set between 5 and 22 minutes. Sleep Timer: You can set the Radio CD to automatically turn off after a specific period of time. Using the front panel or remote, you can set the sleep timer for 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Backup: The Radio CD features an internal long-life power cell maintains the current time for up to 48 hours during a power outage. By inserting a 9-volt battery (not supplied), you can ensure that a previously activated wakeup function will work during a power outage. 2.1 Speaker Design: The unit features two main front panel speakers driven by actively-equalized stereo amplifiers along with a 3-1/2, down-firing powered subwoofer for accurate high frequency reproduction and deep low end response. Front Panel Auxiliary Input: In addition to rear auxiliary input used for the iPod dock, the SoundWorks Radio CD 745i features a front-panel 3.5mm mini-jack auxiliary input for connecting an additional external audio source. Use either front/back auxiliary input with a Bluetooth receiver (not included but can be found for $20-30 or more, depending on your requirements). This will allow you to stream Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, or other music streaming services to the system. Headphone Output: The Radio CD features a 3.5mm stereo headphone output on the front panel. When headphones are plugged into the headphone jack, the radio's speakers are muted. Minimum Turn-on Volume: The Radio CD has a preset minimum turn-on volume setting of 5. Whenever the radio is turned off with the setting lower than 5, it will power up with a volume setting of 5. If the volume setting was 5 or greater when the unit was turned off, the unit will power up with the volume at the previous volume setting.
