This is a vintage Philips DSR6000 first-generation TiVo DVR dual satellite receiver for DIRECTV. Its in good cosmetic condition. Seems to be working. Responds to remote, can browse the menus and watch the 2 videos on the HDD. Label on the back got erased when I tried to clean it with too strong of a cleaner. Sold for parts as DIRECTV no longer activates SD receivers so this cannot be used as intended.This DVR has a Quantum 40GB HDD. PLEASE READ: Item was abandoned by a tenant that left all his belongings behind. He left 2 vintage recordings on this device. One appears to be 3 hours of an old hockey game. The other appears to be 3 hours of mature content. I left them on there in case anyone is interested in vintage content. I will leave them for the new owner to delete or perform a factory reset. Do not bid if you find the mere presence of mature content (or hockey games) on the HDD to be offensive. Great item for a vintage TiVo collector, or as a turn-of-the-century period movie/TV prop. If you need a large, nice quality finished looking project box/enclosure for an electronics project, it doesnt get much better than this. Makes a nice PC case mod for a mini ITX system. It already has 2 3.5 drive bays and PSU with +5V and +12V outputs, among other voltages. It could house an audio amplifier, pfSense/OPNsense router, homebuilt NAS, test bench power supply, etc. Perhaps it has some useful parts that could be pulled off the PCB.
