THIS IS A CASH ON COLLECTION ONLY LISTING. COLLECTION IS FROM GRAYS, ESSEX. Here we have a beautiful Dual CS-5000 Turntable fitted with an Ortofon OM20 low mass cartridge. Cartridge and stylus were changed a little over a year ago and has had very little use since then. It has just undergone a full service prior to sale with a brand-new belt fitted, platter bearing oiled, brand-new gold plated phono plugs fitted and new power capacitors fitted. The original Frako capacitors on these machines are notorious for going bad, resulting in slow start-ups of the platter, or irregular playing speeds. It is well documented online and any non-serviced CS-5000 deck will certainly need these upgrades, so beware of cheaper non-serviced decks! The deck is in excellent overall condition, showing the minimal signs of previous use, with just the odd light marks and scratches as expected with any used item. The dust cover is also in excellent condition with no deep scratches or cracks! There are a few small light marks on the platter edge, and a small scratch on the tonearm where it clips into the tonearm rest (see photos). Neither are visible without close inspection. This is a semi-automatic deck, and I have uploaded a video of this working as it should. Capable of playing 33, 45 & 78rpm vinyl records.
