*UPDATE* I realized from viewing my own advert that my pictures weren’t really representative of how bad the case of this amplifier looked. I didn’t want the buyer of this amp to be disappointed by this and so I removed it and gave it a refresh of flat black primer and paint. The last 4 pictures are new and will give you a better idea of what it looks like. I’ve personally owned this amplifier for 30 years. It has been used off and on again in rotation and has always worked flawlessly. The chassis is not perfect but the front glass is clean. I’ve never had to have this repaired. Its sound is astonishing when compared to other amps and receivers from the same era. They have all come and gone and this has stayed with me. I’ve owned so so so many amps, and this wiped the floor with a good many of them. Here’s some extra generic info I pulled from someone else’s advert. A rare, high-quality vintage amplifier! Don’t be fooled by the 50wpc rating. Proton’s Dynamic Power on Demand gives it a claimed 7dB of headroom which, as Julian Hirsch said in his June 1988 review, makes it, “quite possibly the world’s most powerful “50W amplifier””. It’s a dual mono design and offers exemplary performance and musicality. Notably, Julian Hirsch found that it exceeded almost all of its published specs (shown below). Used amp, in working condition but certainly needs a tune-up and a good cleaning.I dont use it anymore, owned it for about 30 years now, currently dont need it. Its priced for someone to recondition and love or resell. IT IS NOT MINT but it 100% works.Right channel drops out at low volume, but I think thats dirty RCAs.
