The one we are selling here has been used, but is in good operational condition and was tested and was working perfectly when recently removed from the receiver. The advantage of this is that there is less likelihood for components to fall out of tolerance or to fail. I couldn’t pick up any stations using a 4 foot speaker wire. Volume / on/off and tone knobs work as they should and turn smoothly. Tone difference when turned is subtle. Comes with the a Radio Shack power supply shown that came with it when i purchased it from original owner. Original power cord is missing. Sold as is due to lack off receiving stations.

This is a Drake filter SL-1800 used in the Drake TR-7 / TR-7A transceiver or the R-7 / R-7A receiver. This filter was optional when purchasing the Drake equipment and was intended to be utilized for listening to SSB signals. Drake sold their 7 line transceiver and their receiver with a 2.3 KHz filter installed, but this wide bandwidth becomes problematic when trying to selectively tune signals in a crowded band.
