This is a pair of NHT SB2 2-way bookshelf speakers in good used condition. No damage to the drivers, and sound as they should. Features a 6.5-inch woofer and a 1 inch aluminum dome tweeter in an acoustic suspension design. The have a warm, slightly laid back sound with good bass extension for their size. I am the second owner, but barely used them as i went to a small speaker for a bedroom system. They do have a few fine scratches and smudges, especially on the bottom. This is a pair of used NHT SB2 in near mint condition. They still sound perfect. Ive been using them for L/R surround sounds. They matched well with my Celestion SL700s. Unfortunately, my nieces kid pushed the tweeter on one of the speakers about 2 years ago (I sometimes took away the speaker grills for better sounds). The tweeter aluminum cover has a dent. However, it is just deformed but not broken. So it will serve the dust-cover purposes well. The cover itself does not generate sound. But it might affect the sound. To me, the impact is not obviously detected. I kept listening to the speaker for a year without issues. Found a pair of good conditioned Celestion SL6S with even better matching sounds a couple of last year, I stopped using these NHT and placed them aside. Now it is time for them to look for better uses. I have original box and it looks like I just received it from factory. The speakers themselves look great too since I always placed them behind the sofa and clean them regularly. When I tried them as main speakers in the front, they sound surprisingly loud and clean with their relatively small sizes (sounds stronger than my Celestion SL6S). Just tried again today and they still sound normally. Without the dent on the tweeter, they wouldve been in like new conditions. I considered the dent with possible but hard to detect sound impact and provided good discount on the item. Basically I am asking the price lower than the SB1s price. These are heavy speakers (weights 13 lb each). The package is like $30+ pounds so the shipping rate would be high.
