Der Receiver, der in Japan gefertigt und durch Soundmaster von Denon/Marantz abgestimmt wurde, befindet sich technisch in einwandfreiem Zustand und unterstützt auch heute noch gängige und hochwertige Surround-Formate wie DTS-HD Master Audio, Audyssey DSX, Dolby True-HD oder auch Dolby Pro Logic IIz etc. Die Einmessung erfolgt mit Audyssey XT32 (alt: Audyssey Gold), also der großen Ausbaustufe der Einmesstechnik von Audyssey, welche auch heute noch in den Topmodellen zum Einsatz kommt. Erwähnenswert sind ebenso die eingebauten 9 Endstufen im Mono-Block-Aufbau sowie der flexible 11.2-Kanal Vorverstärkerausgang mit Pre-Amp-Modus.
