Description
I have owned this since 1995. I do not have the DC power supply any longer, so I cannot test the unit. With the batteries installed, the unit DOES NOT TURN ON. Having said that, I am quite confident that it would an easy fix. I just wanted to be clear, as this item is NOT returnable.DENON DTR-80PPortable DAT capable of 4 hours of continuous playback.Long time (LP) is also equipped with an ode, allowing up to 4 hours of recording and playback without replacing the tape.It supports all 2-channel DAT format modes, allowing digital recording and playback of any source, including DAT, CD, A/B mode sanitary broadcasts, and independent PCM audio broadcasts.Digital input terminals include a Toslink-type optical digital input terminal and a mini-type coaxial digital input/output terminal.A 44.1 kHz master recording function is provided, enabling recording in 44.1 kHz, 16-bit linear mode, which is the same sampling frequency as that of CDs when analog input is used. When editing sound sources recorded in this mode to CD-Rs, etc., there is no need to pass through sampling converters or D/A-A/D converters, thus preventing sound quality degradation.A total of four types of power sources can be used: AA alkaline batteries, Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries, AC power supply, and car batteries. It has a built-in A/D converter. The A/D converter section uses a 4th-order ?-? type A/D converter with a 64x oversampling digital filter. The D/A converter uses an 18-bit advanced interpolative D/A converter with an 8x oversampling digital filter. It is equipped with a TOC recording and display function, which records recording data such as total number of tracks, total time, track number, and playing time at the beginning of tape winding, and can be displayed on the LCD display during playback and used to select tracks.By adopting a compact mechanism using a 20? head drum and a high-density mounting board, the unit weighs only 590g with the A/D converter and batteries installed. It is equipped with an EL backlit LCD display. This is the first portable DAT with a step attenuation function that allows fade recording even during digital recording.SCMS is supported, allowing digital copying directly from CD or DAT only for the first recording to tape. However, it is not possible to re-record (digital copy) that digitally recorded tape.
