It usually shows the Left channel slightly softer than the right. We replaced the knob and the electronic components associated with it. Because of this issue we are selling this deck as Used and not accepting returns for any reason. Lower price reflects this defect. Normal and High Speed Dubbing are not effected by this and work correctly. This deck does not output sound when using High Speed Dubbing. This is normal for this deck. This is to make sure this deck you purchased will function correctly as Sony cassette decks from this era are notoriously unreliable. We test our cassette decks for several hours using a combination of very old, worn tapes, new old stock tapes, pre-recorded original tapes, and custom made tapes from our own new tape stock. Turns on perfectly works the way it post you on both sides of the deck only issue with the entire thing is that the right side door looks to be broken on the bottom left corner but if you adjust and press, it will close and still work properly other than that working in perfect conditions do you have any other questions?
