Had this in storage for several years. Pulled it out last week to free up some space. I did some long needed maintenance on the deck and it turned out excellent! Main capstan belt, idler tire, and pinch rollers all replaced with new. It should be noted that the original pinch rollers had brass hubs, while the replacements have plastic hubs. Brass hubs are available, but they are over $100 and would come from Germany. I opted for the plastic option. Capstan motor bearings, and both shafts were treated with Tri-Flow super lube.(Teflon additive) All areas of the tape path were cleaned and are free of old rubber residue. Sliding plastic parts were all treated with fresh lithium grease. All controls operate as they should and the display indicates this correctly. I found no issues with FF, REW, PLAY, and RECORD. The Cherry wood side panels are great. These were optional. The plain Jane version just has a one piece metal cover for top and sides. There are 4 round marks on the top cover due to another piece of equipment sitting on top of it for an extended period of time. These are not with scratches or dents. They should literally buff out. I will leave that to the new owner. This is considered the TOTL for Denon consumer cassette decks. They made one model better, but it was part of Denons professional line, used in radio stations. Denon RCDM41 DAB Radio Bluetooth CD Player Black Remote NEW CD Drive Belt TESTED This was supplied to us in very good condition, but initially had a fault of not reading the CD, as the draw wouldnt fully close, so we ordered, and fitted a new CD drive belt, and this fixed the fault, and this operates very well now, as per the photos. We fully tested thios for the DAB radio too, and the Bluetooth connectivity etc, and it sounds great. The remote work well, and inc included along with the power lead and aerial too.
