Denon DN740R dual cassette deck vary speed rack mount Twin cassette tape deck Rack mounted standard 19inch Not used for 10 years or so till now Now works a bit , when first plugged nothing worked But cleaned tape heads and tape path deck B works better than deck A I think it needs all buttons and tape path needs a proper clean Dolby a and c works on both decks Recording not tested as dont have a blank tape to try Not sure if the speed controls should have knobs on them see picsthey do turn ok by hand and speed varies when selected and turned Deck B Stop button a bit sticky fast forward and reverse and tape direction work ok Deck A Play button a bit loose but starts playing on the direction buttonA bit tempremental does play in each direction but buttons needs to be pressed a few times to workfast forward and rewind again press buttons a couple of times to work I think with a good clean internally and switch cleaner on all buttons possibly new belts and head cleaning it would make a nice machine Sold with above faults for a restore I ended up playing prerecorded tapes on it for several hours and the more it was used the better it seemed to work Deck b seems fine nowDeck a still a bit tempremental Will be sent with a trackable carrier
