Welcome to my listing for my very rare Japanese-made high end vintage Denon DCD-1700 CD player. This is an incredible sounding player with dual PCM56P Burr Brown DACs onboard, widely regarded as the best Burr Brown DACs ever produced. The transport used is Sonys venerable high end KSS-123A unit, known for its reliability. Its sound is very smooth and lifelike, rich in detail and with a deep soundstage and precise imaging. There is great low end presence and extension for those who think CD can sound thin. They really dont make machines like this any more. The engineering standard of this unit is superlative in every way and the components used are built to perform at the highest level, which they do, and its built to last. The headphone output is also of very high quality, if that is of interest to you. It drives my Quad planar headphones easily and confidently. This ships with the original remote, which is very hard to find these days. As you can see from the pictures, this unit is in excellent condition overall. There are a few light marks but nothing major. Please inspect the pictures carefully so you can appreciate what lovely condition this Denon is in. You will not be disappointed with the audio quality of this superb Denon unit. Up for auction is a beautiful late 1980s compact disc player by Denon in the original packaging and with all original documents, receipt and service manual.
