It was released in 2002 . This is the final product of the mid-range DCD-1650 series dedicated to CDs which started in 1990. At the time of listing, I have confirmed the playback of several CDs and CD-Rs, and the sound output is good (within the scope of personal use). The tray opens and closes smoothly. There is no stickiness on the tray. I did not notice any particular issues with the digital output or PHONES (the coaxial digital is unconfirmed). Please note that as this is an older player, it does not guarantee the performance standards of that time. If you are looking for a perfect product, please refrain from purchasing. Welcome to my listing for my Denon DCD-520AE CD player. This stunning looking player is in exceptional condition throughout. This is a lovely sounding unit, very dynamic and expansive sounding, with a deep soundstage and never harsh. With the high end 32-bit PCM5102 Burr Brown DACs on board, this player punches well above its weight in refinement. It is solid as a rock and all functions work perfectly. It reads and navigates discs quickly and quietly and also decodes MP3 and WMA audio files. As you can see from the pictures, the CD player is in stunning condition. You wont be disappointed with the build quality or sound quality of this unit.
