With 130 high-current watts per channel and advanced surround processing, youll enjoy rich, enveloping multichannel sound from all of your movies, music, TV shows, and video games. Denons heavy-duty construction includes an anti-resonant chassis and massive power supply for rock-solid performance at all times. And this sophisticated receiver is packed with cutting-edge technologies that greatly expand your home entertainment horizons. For starters, the AVR-4306 includes a new auto setup and room calibration system called MultEQ XT, developed by Audyssey Laboratories. All you need to do is place the included microphone in each seat in your home theater — up to eight seats total — and the 4306 takes care of the rest, fine-tuning the level, delay setting, and EQ for each speaker in your system. Thanks to MultEQ XT, precise response isnt limited to a single sweet spot, but is available across a wide listening area, so everyone in the room can enjoy perfect home theater sound. Advanced digital video switching lets you hook up three high-resolution video components via HDMI connections for the best possible picture quality (HDMI is a digital output available on many HDTV tuners and high-end DVD players). And analog-to-HDMI video conversion allows you to send all of your video sources to an HDMI-capable TV using only a single digital cable. This greatly streamlines video switching and preserves maximum picture quality for every source in your system. The 4306 also offers digital video upconversion, a feature that goes a step beyond analog-to-HDMI conversion. It can upgrade any non-HD video source to an HDMI digital signal with your choice of 720p or 1080i resolution, to more closely match the capabilities of your HDTV. This gives your DVDs and older video sources an exceptionally crisp, vivid look. The 4306 also provides seamless integration with your portable digital music player. If you have a docking iPod®, you can plug it in to the 4306s dedicated front-panel iPod terminal and access your entire library of digital music files (separate iPod cable required). An on-screen display mimics the iPod menu, and you can control your iPods basic functions with the included Denon remote. Plus, theres a front-panel USB port for easy connectivity to other portable digital music players. The AVR-4306 comes XM Ready, which makes it especially easy to enjoy XM Satellite Radio in your home, through your best speakers. Once youve added an optional XM Mini-Tuner package and activated your XM subscription, youll have access to more than 170 XM Satellite Radio channels. Plus, you can view channel, artist, and song information on your TV, and change channels using the included remote control. You also get three-room/three-source audio/video capability. This lets you enjoy home theater in your main room while a housemate watches a different video source in a second room, and another housemate listens to stereo music in a third room.
