Denon DCD-3520 CD player w/Owner Manual Denon’s reference CD player (1988) Please note the following known deficiencies: 1. The panel that hides the controls at the bottom of the player is broken due to the unit being improperly secured during transportation. The unit will come without this panel. 2. There is chip on the back of the unit, but difficult to see and not noticeable (at the top back of the unit, right side) 3. There is a very light dent on the side, difficult to see and hardly noticeable (left side) 4. The drawer has difficulty opening and closing and it requires manual assistance in both opening and closing. Other notes: The unit has a transport screw on the bottom and it will be locked for shipping. I had the unit professionally serviced at a Denon authorized service center probably 10 years ago. The new cd belt was installed and the transport realigned. However due to the unit being unused for a long time, the issue with the cd tray came back. The cd player (with the above deficiencies noted) reads and plays discs with no issues. This is the best CD player Denon made at the time and it uses a full copper chassis and select audiophile grade parts. It still sounds really good. As a point of comparison it sounds better to my ears than the similar vintage Sony cd player of the time CDP-x7ESD. The weak spot of this player is the CD tray and the panel, which unfortunately broke off. Please examine the photos carefully and note the missing panel. Other than the missing panel the CD Player still has an otherwise excellent cosmetic appearance, but certainly has signs of use. It is built like a proverbial tank. It has a beautiful green lettering display, that the photos do not show well. · Original Owner’s manual included. Unit weight: 37.5 LBS (17kg)
