A skilled technician or audiophile enthusiast with knowledge of this wonderful brand and its products may be able to get it working without issue. Sadly, I am not that person.Other sellers are asking $30 and above just for the manual, so I figure this (mostly) working unit that needs some repair, with remote and manual is priced reasonably. As far as the sound filters, believe the hype! Specifically, the compression setting which makes CDs sound extremely warm and smooth. I sure wish I was able to fix this myself!!!
