A pair of 8 woofers from Dahlquist Speakers in 1990s. 4 Ohm Both are in good shape and working condition. Tested. Comes with two matching rubber ring pad

These speakers were made roughly 1995 and I have been the primary owner for over 25 years. Over that time the tweeters were replaced as the ferrofluid had dried up and the current tweeters have a LOT of life left on them. This is a modular design with the W2 bass module consisting of twin 6” woofers. These are connected to the W2 “top” via Darwin Cable Co silver wire jumpers ($500) which I am INCLUDING with purchase. The tops are arranged in a D’Appolito array with the tweeter between two drivers. The tops (and bottoms) have a chamber that can be filled with sand or shot to dampen cabinet resonance. These are currently loaded with sand. The bottom (W2) module has threaded spike feet. The speakers can be bi-wired or bi-amped (which is how I had them). The Center channel CA-C1 can be run “full range” or bi-wired/amped as well. Dahlquist recommended bi-amping and I found over the years of owning them, this did produce the best result. However, I used jumpers for the center channel (not included - only including jumpers for the main L/R speakers). These speakers are extremely heavy, even without being sand filled. I estimate the bottom cabinets to be around 40lbs and the same with the sand filled tops. Please note that there are some dents and scratches but nothing that affects cabinet integrity or sound. Also, most all the more “visible dents” are hidden by the cloth grille covers. Also, one of the binding post plates is a little loose but this does NOT affect connection or sound as is probably an easy fix! It just wasn’t enough of an annoyance for me to mess with. I’ve had these speakers run through software & mic testing and everything is in perfect working order (crossovers, tweeters, bass, etc.) Due to the weight and number of cabinets (5 total with center channel) this will be for LOCAL pick-up ONLY! I can also deliver these for an additional fee if outside 50 miles of Dallas. If outside of 100 miles, we can work something out… The bottom line is shipping these would more than likely damage them and cost a fortune! Please ask me any/all questions and I can provide additional photos of the speakers upon request.
