SONY GV-D900 Fully refurbished rare MiniDV video deck, optional power kit Description Condition: Used Sony 5.5-inch LCD Monitor Digital Video Cassette Recorder Video Walkman GV-D900 Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price: ¥240,000 (excluding tax, power kit sold separately) Release Year: May 1998 Serial Number: 10766 Manufacturing Year: 1998 Country of Origin: Japan (Made in Japan) This is the worlds first portable digital video recorder for consumer use released by Sony. Equipped with a 5.5-inch LCD monitor, it can be used anywhere. This is a sibling model released on the same day as the GV-D300. It uses MiniDV video cassette tapes. It does not use 8mm video cassette tapes. Finding a fully functional unit in the used market is quite rare. This is a valuable model, so if youve been looking for one, please consider this offer. There are minor scuffs from use, but no scratches and it is in very clean condition. All four insulator rubber feet on the bottom panel are present. There is no rust or corrosion on the screws. The LCD panel has no burn-in or deterioration, but there is some coating peeling on the surface, which can be seen in photo 12. The coating peeling is not noticeable when powered on, so it does not affect the playback image. Many large detailed images are posted for your confirmation. This is not just a used item with a simple operation check. It has been fully disassembled by a skilled technician and meticulously serviced, going beyond the scope of Sonys standard overhaul. This model itself is a valuable item, and it is extremely difficult to find a fully maintained GV-D900 at this price elsewhere. All of the following operations are normal: Recording was possible via i.LINK input and analog input. Playback of both self-recorded tapes and video tapes recorded over 10 years ago with a Sony Handycam was clear. Sony MiniDV video decks and camcorders using S-reel and T-reel tapes often make rattling noises during fast forward and rewind due to age-related deterioration of the tapes. This unit has been serviced, so the tape runs very smoothly without any noise. Severely deteriorated reels cause image blurring and audio dropouts, preventing normal recording and playback. Computer capture was possible via i.LINK cable without degrading the image quality. Output to a TV was possible via AV cable (image quality degrades due to analog output). All buttons on the operation panel function normally. The dial for selecting items in the menu screen also works without problems. Battery operation has also been confirmed (battery not included). Operation with the optional wireless remote control has also been confirmed. The internal secondary battery for storing the date and time settings has been replaced with a new one. If you have a computer with an i.LINK terminal (DV terminal, IEEE1394 terminal) or a Sony high-end Blu-ray recorder such as the BDZ-AX2000 with an i.LINK terminal, you can save valuable video tapes to a hard disk or the cloud without degrading the image quality, or dub them to Blu-ray. The computer used for i.LINK capture operation confirmation in the image has Windows 10 64bit, a Core i7-3770 CPU, and 16GB of memory. All accessories, including the separately sold AC adapter and remote control, are included, so you can use it immediately. Included Accessories: AC Adapter/Charger AC-V700 (optional) DC Cable DK-415 Power Cable AV Cable Wireless Remote Control RMT-831 (optional) Instruction Manual CD-ROM Sony Head Cleaner (new) Button Battery for Remote Control (new) Payment Please pay within 5 days after the auction closed. For instance, consider the voltage disparity between Japan and the United States, where the standard voltage diverges to AC200V. This discrepancy underscores the necessity of employing a voltage transformer to mitigate the risk of electrical malfunctions. Therefore, ensuring compatibility with electrical specifications is imperative for seamless functionality and longevity of your appliances.
