The unit was tested and although it does power on, the protection circuit (indicated by the red LED on the front) is activated and it doesnt produce any sound. The logs indicate a series of short-circuit faults on channels 5-6 and one similar event on channels 9-10. The logs also show a series of high AC voltage events. Opening up the case I discovered carbonization above one of the 16 Hypex UcD250LP modules (see photo). Could this failed module be the reason why the amp is in protect mode? Nevertheless, I didnt do any further troubleshooting which is why this is being sold as-is for parts only, no returns. The case has some scratches and blemishes as would be expected.
