Legendary Crown K2 Power Amplifier - Convection Cooled! For sale is the rare and sought-after K2 power amplifier from Crown. This amplifier can deliver up to 2,500 Watts in bridged mono (4 ohms), or up to 1,250 Watts per channel in stereo (or dual mono) into 2 ohms. Its convection cooled for totally silent operation (no fans), making it suitable for subwoofer use in Home Theaters. Before I got this amp it was used for background music in a retail store, so it has never been abused. I added a switch to be able to bypass the Sleep Circuit, a known annoyance when used in Home Audio or Home Theater applications. The level potentiometers have just been replaced with brand new Crown parts and are now church mouse quiet. XLR to RCA adapters are included as shown. It is all set for long and trouble free service! Owners manual is included and winner will be sent a PDF of the service manual as well. I bought this to use to drive my McIntosh XR16 loudspeakers but have decided to move to a tube amp. The mids and highs produced by this amp are OK, but not world class. But as a subwoofer amp it has very few equals!
