For sale is my rare Croft tube stereo power amplifier Series 5 III, number 413. Made entirely hand-wired by Glenn Croft in England circa 1995. I sell it because I have to downsize my collection. I used them for LS3/5a and LS5/9 with a passive preamp only, and this gave plenty of gain and dynamics, open sound and a lot of listening pleasure.I also like the small dimensions: 33 x 20 x 17 cm (WxDxH). This model has 4 (!) EL84s per channel for output, giving 25-30 Watt, ECC83s as drivers and full valve regulation. I prefer the sound of the EL84 tube above usual 25W amplifiers using EL34 tubes. In the past famous UK power amplifiers using EL84 tubes have been made by Leak. Glenn Croft was a genius and famous for his excellent sounding amplifiers; he sadly passed away last year.
