A COUPLE OF PLASTIC CAPS WHICH SHOULD GO OVER SOME OF THE SWITCHES ARE MISSING. PURELY AESTHETIC AS THE SWITCH WORKS FINE. TAPE DECK ONE DOES NOT EJECT WHEN THE BUTTON IS PRESSED. IT RELEASES THE LATCH AND YOU NEED TO OPEN IT MANUALLY. THERE IS A LITTLE SPRING / COMPONENT SELLOTAPED TO THE INSIDE OF THE DRAWER. PERHAPS A PART REQUIRED TO COMPLETE RESTORATION. THE BOTTOM SPARE TAPE HOLDER DOES NOT STAY SHUT. PROBABLY A SMALL CATCH THAT NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED / REPLACED. THESE ARE ALL MINOR PERIPHERY ISSUES TO RESTORE TO 100%. JVC RC-828L Biphonic Sound System - Partly Working, Spares/Repair Iconic late 70s boombox, the same type as featured in the cult NY gang movie The Warriors. This one is in fair condition, signs of wear to much of the machine - see pics. Radio and tape player produce sound but with uneven levels between left and right sides - when in mono mode both speakers equally loud. Cassettes play fine but rewind and FF on tape machine not powerful enough to turn the cassette wheels. Biphonic mode makes a low hum. One aerial snapped. Battery/tuner light working, meters working, counter working. All switches and sliders present. Works with power cable (not included in sale), not tested on batteries. This is a partly working item, sold for spares/repairs with no returns - please see pics. I will send carefully packed, tracked and insured.
